We, the Short Heath Fields Trust Team, are committed to ensuring that the wishes of our community are delivered at Short Heath Playing Fields.

Our goal is to protect and preserve our green spaces, keeping them safe, welcoming, and accessible for generations of families to come. We want these fields to remain a place for fun‑filled family days, community connection, and sporting activities that can be enjoyed by everyone.

By working together, we believe Short Heath Playing Fields can continue to be a valued green space along with Bleak Hill Park, where the whole community can come together, stay active, and make lasting memories.

Chair’s Statement

As Chair of Short Heath Fields Trust (SHFT), I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the Trust remains at the forefront of conversations about the future of Short Heath Playing Fields.

From the very beginning, I made a promise that our community’s voices would be heard, and I remain fully committed to honouring that promise. I will continue to listen, represent, and speak up on behalf of the people who value and care deeply about these green spaces.

Above all, I will keep fighting to protect and preserve these wonderful green spaces that we all love so much, ensuring they remain safe, accessible, and enjoyed by generations to come.
